The Green Key Intelligent Methane Plant System

Here at Green Key, we make it our responsibility to create solutions that protect the biosphere, and preserve the planet for future generations.

This has led us to the innovative study of methane gas collection for the creation of electricity.  Being that methane gas is proven to be more harmful to our ozone layer than CO2, we take this threat seriously and have been progressive about utilizing methane for positive means.

The largest form of methane gas creation comes from our landfills.  The EPA has stated that Methane gases are 20 times more harmful to the ozone layer than co2, this presents an urgency in its collection.  Harnessing this methane gas positively and converting it to a resource for electricity is not only incredibly useful for our current commercial, social, and environmental needs, but it is also another way to maintain our planet for years to come.

The Green Key methane plant is a progressive approach towards harvesting methane gas to be used for fuel.  Each methane facility would be responsible for drilling holes into the existing landfill sites and extracting the harmful methane gas and using it as fuel to generate electricity through GE turbines.

Here are the basic steps to converting the Methane into Energy.

(1)Landfill waste structure is assembled and in use. (2) Anaerobic bacteria decompose the solid wastes. (3) Methane gas is generated. (4) A system of pipes and blows collect gas and deliver it to a processing location. (5) Gas is stored to be used as fuel. (6) Gas is used directly onsite to supply electricity for operational needs.

Currently in operation at 12 different LFG collection centers that represent 75% of the methane collection plants in Korea are located at Jeju, Cheongju, Pohang, Gwangju, Yeosu, Daejeon, Gunsan, and Mokpo.

Here are two of the locations mentioned.
